Curling Tournament
Well done to the Year 9 and 10 teams who went to Newforge yesterday for the Kurling competition. A big shout out to McKenzie, Damien and Caitlin who came first, out of 16 teams, in the tournament!! It came down to the very last turn in the final, with McKenzie getting the win for her team. The score was 2-1. Everyone played very well and had a great day.

Anti Bullying Week Lollies
Yesterday, as part of our Anti-bullying Week and World Kindness Day, our Post 16 Childcare group went around the school spreading kindness and bringing smiles to everyone's faces by handing out ice pops. A lovely gesture which was well appreciated!

Anti-Bullying Parade
Although the weather was not being too kind today, our Prefects, Mr. Davidson and Mrs. McCutcheon joined the Anti-Bullying parade at St Gerard's School, along with other schools from the local area, to take a stand against bullying. The students proudly displayed their handmade anti-bullying signs and made plenty of noise as they took part in the parade. Thank you to St. Gerard's for organising the event and for the delicious pizza at the end of the parade.

Rescue Talk
A lovely visit today for our Post 16s from Lagan Search & Rescue. Such a great opportunity to hear about safety in the water and how they can carry out rescue operations in the Lagan. To top it off they got to look around a decommissioned boat and jeep and try on some of the equipment. Thank you to Stephen and his team.
