We believe that homework:

Supports the teaching and learning taking place in the classroom

Develops co-operation and partnership between school and home

Gives parents an opportunity to:

Praise and encourage their child
Students will have homework as follows:

Book sharing with parents

Reading

‘Finding Out’ tasks

Written activity

Spellings / High Frequency words

Core 5/Power Up
NUMERACY ACTIVITIES
This may include:

Sorting / matching

Counting activities
-
Number games
-
Written activities
-
Investigation / ‘Finding Out’ tasks

Mathletics
OTHER ACTIVITIES MAY INCLUDE:

Independence / Self-help skills

Gross / Fine motor skill activities e.g. hopping, skipping, jumping

Writing
Students will have homework 2-4 evenings per week.
*All written homework should be signed by a parent/carer.
