Counselling
The Independent Counselling Service for Schools is currently provided by Mrs Nicola Boucher from Barnardos. A room has been designated for the Counsellors’ use in school.
The emotional health and well-being of our young people is a priority here in Park School so having Barnardos partner with us will enhance the pastoral care provision.
An Annual Report is presented to the Board of Governors, the Principal and SLT updating the development and main areas of the service.
Students come through the Counselling service by the following ways:

Self-referral

Parent referral

Teacher/CA referral

Peer referral
Confidentiality is practised as far as possible within the Counselling service. In particular cases however, the circumstances may require referral to outside agencies.
