Education Minister Paul Givan opens Park’s Immersive Room
We had the Education Minister in school on the 22 nd Oct to officially open our new Immersive Room. It was great to be able to show Mr. Givan our wonderful school and the fantastic work and achievements of our students. This innovative space will support pupils' wellbeing and enhance teaching and learning experiences within the school.


Maths is for everyone!
Well done to everyone at Park who helped us to celebrate Maths Week 2025. We were part of nearly 500,000 pupils across the island of Ireland who signed up. We had great fun doing the activities. “Maths Week is an important way to help learners, of all ages, enjoy Maths and to highlight the creativity of the subject.” Aoibhinn Ní Shúilleabháin, assistant professor at UCD and science communicator. Cookery Club
Cookery Club met on the 9 th Oct and had a fun time baking chocolate chip loaf cake.


HE Exam
Amazing work by our Post16 Home Economics class for their first patisserie and baking practical exam. How delicious do these scones look!


Student of the Month September
It has been a great start to the year with many students having excellent behaviour and working hard. Congratulations to our Students of the Month for September.


VR Space Session
Yr12 Science pupils are engaging in the study of our solar system using the latest of technology – VR goggles! We visited each planet in our solar system including a walk on the surface of Mars & a trip right out to the Sun!


Staff Coffee Morning
During our staff training day today, we had a coffee morning to raise funds for the school. We all enjoyed an array of tray bakes, breads, scones and cakes. So far, we have raised £451. Thank you to all the local businesses and staff who were very generous donating all the food.


Healthy Eating
Our school are taking part in an initiative called Eat Smart (Healthy Eating) and each day we will be celebrating one of the food groups. Yesterday's was fruit and vegetables. 10HK made cheese and tomato quiche, while 8SG made fruit smoothies.


Back to School Activities
We have had a busy few weeks in Park with our Back to School activities. Each Year group chose their venue, and while some went to Belfast Zoo, others went to Colin Glen, Airtastic, bowling, or Belfast Activity Centre. Everyone had great fun trying new things and bonding with others in their class.


Coding Week
Last week, our school celebrated National Coding Week with a variety of activities across the year groups. Year 8 students explored the world of Binary by converting their initials and turning them into colourful beaded keyrings. Meanwhile, Year 9 and Year 10 showcased their creativity and problem-solving skills by coding their own Flappy Bird and Angry Birds games online. A highlight of the week was when 10SA were expertly taught how to move a sprite in Scratch by Tyler, who
