RSE
The aims of relationships and sex education (RSE) at Park School are to:
-
Provide a framework in which sensitive discussions can take place
-
Prepare pupils for puberty, and give them an understanding of sexual development and the importance of health and hygiene
-
Help pupils develop feelings of self-respect, confidence and empathy
-
Create a positive culture around issues of sexuality and relationships
-
Teach pupils the correct vocabulary to describe themselves and their bodies
RSE provision and content within the school also ties in centrally to the Park School aims:

-
To provide a happy, safe and supportive environment that promotes the development of the whole pupil.
-
To develop self-confidence, self-esteem and independence in each pupil.
By providing our students and their parents with the information and confidence to be able to discuss and share any concerns or issues, we empower them to make better choices, build confidence and help each other.
